Overview

The School of Industrial and Fine Arts (MTSIFA) is one of the academic units constituting Makerere University. 

The top management of MTSIFA, includes the Dean, Deputy Dean and Heads of Department.  Below are the three Departments.

  1. Industrial Art and Design
  2. Painting and Art
  3. Sculpture and Drawing

Over 44 members of academic staff run the Bachelor of Industrial and Fine Arts Programme.  They are assisted by administrative and support staff.

Key tasks and responsibilities for each post

Dr George Kyeyune
DEAN 

Overall administration of the School.  He is also the public relations officer for the School.

Dr Venny Nakazibwe
DEPUTY DEAN 

In charge of academic issues.

Mr Edward Kisuza
REGISTRAR 

Representative of the Academic Registrar's department at the School level. In charge of admission, registration and processing of students' results.

Mr Tumusiime Moses

CUSTODIANS

Ensure proper functionality of facilities and maintaining cleanliness of the unit. 

Mrs Deborah Mpiima-Kisolo
PERSONAL SECRETARY

Personal assistant to the dean.

Mr. John Kyebatala
ACCOUNTS CLERK

Resposible for financial matters of the School.

Mrs Ruth Nsumba
COPY TYPIST

Provides secretarial assistance within the registrar’s office.
